FORT CARSON, Colo. (KXRM) — On Saturday, the U.S. Northern Command introduced that 2,400 troopers from Fort Carson are deploying to the southern border to help the U.S. Division of Homeland Safety and Customs and Border Safety in sustaining safety on the southern border.
The troops are from the 2nd Stryker Brigade Fight Staff, 4th Infantry Division, and they’re going to be a part of items already supporting the FY2025 DHS request for help on the border.
2nd SBCT will perform duties together with detection and monitoring, administrative assist, transportation assist, warehousing and logistic assist, automobile upkeep, and engineering assist. Duties is not going to embody interdiction or deportation operations.
