DENVER — A 12-year-old boy has been charged with tried homicide and of a bias-motivated crime in a stabbing that happened Oct. 5 at Marie L. Greenwood Early-8 college, the Denver District Lawyer’s Workplace mentioned Thursday.
The boy was arrested shortly after officers responded to the varsity at 5130 Durham Court docket at 1:53 p.m. Oct. 5 on a report of a stabbing, Denver police spokesperson Doug Schepman mentioned on the time.
The injured pupil was taken to a hospital in steady situation.
The 12-year-old was charged as an “aggravated juvenile offender” and “violent juvenile offender” with tried homicide, assault, bias-motivated crime, weapons possession on college grounds and interference with school-impeding employees, Denver DA spokesperson Matthew Jablow mentioned in an e mail. The spokesperson didn’t reply what led prosecutors to consider this was a bias-motivated crime.
