BOULDER, Colo. — Boulder Police Chief Maris Herold introduced Wednesday that she’s going to go away the division after accepting a place with the US Division of Justice.
Herold’s final day as Boulder’s prime cop can be on Jan. 22. She’s going to then transition to her new position with the DOJ as a part of the Regulation Enforcement Information Lab.
As a part of the Regulation Enforcement Information Lab, Herold stated she’s going to assist enhance policing practices throughout the nation.
Herold has been in legislation enforcement for greater than 30 years and was Boulder’s first feminine police chief when she joined the division in 2020.
