DENVER (KDVR) — The girl who hit and killed 17-year-old Magnus White whereas he was driving his bike was discovered responsible by a jury on Friday evening.
On July 29, 2023, Magnus White was coaching in Boulder for a biking event when he was hit by a car. He was ejected from his bike and brought to the hospital, the place he died later that evening.
The motive force, Yeva Smilianska, was charged with vehicular murder and pleaded not responsible to the cost in Could of 2024.
On Friday evening, round 10 p.m., a jury gave its verdict, in a unanimous determination, that Smilianska was responsible after seven hours of deliberation.
She was discovered responsible of vehicular murder and reckless driving as a substitute of a lesser cost of careless driving inflicting dying.
Smalianska can be sentenced on June 13.
