DENVER — Crews are combating a grass fireplace on Nationwide Forest land 5 miles southeast of the group of Jefferson in Park County.
The ten-acre 821 Fireplace, because it’s being known as, was first reported round 12:47 Saturday afternoon.
No evacuations are in place, and no constructions are threatened.
In response to the U.S. Forest Service, firefighters from a number of businesses and a helicopter are battling the blaze.
