LAFAYETTE, Colo. — Police in Lafayette shot and wounded a person who they stated was actively stabbing his father early Sunday morning.
Police have been known as to the house within the 2400 block of Waneka Lake Path round 2:45am relating to a disturbance involving a father and son, in accordance with the Lafayette Police Division.
The division stated officers tried to get the suspect to cease his actions and finally needed to shoot him.
Each events have been transported to the hospital with unknown extent of accidents. No officers have been injured.
Police stated the suspect, who has but to be recognized, will face legal expenses as soon as he’s launched from the hospital.
The Boulder County Investigation Group, also called the Boulder Essential Incident Group (BCIT), will examine the officers’ use of pressure.
The 2 officers who fired their weapons have been positioned on administrative go away, pursuant to protocol.
