DENVER (KDVR) — Passengers on a Frontier Airways flight leaving Denver for Houston restrained a person after he turned combative and punched a window and seat 20 minutes after takeoff, based on the Houston Police Division.
The flight was Tuesday evening and arrived in Houston about 11 p.m., a Houston police spokesperson advised FOX31. Police mentioned the person was “being combative” and began punching a seat and a window whereas the aircraft was within the air.
A number of different passengers then helped restrain him. One passenger advised Houston’s FOX 26 they used “shoestrings and belts, headphones” to restrain him.
A photograph the station shared appeared to point out the window’s interior panel damaged, and the passenger advised the station the passengers have been restraining the person “so he did not break the second panel of the window.”
As soon as the aircraft landed, Houston police responded to a welfare verify name on the aircraft. In addition they spoke to Frontier Airways officers, however no prices have been filed, police mentioned.
A Frontier Airways spokesperson didn’t touch upon the incident and referred FOX31 to Houston police. They mentioned the FBI is following up on the incident because it occurred in air house.
