DENVER (KDVR) — Aurora police stated they discovered 1000’s of fentanyl drugs after they impounded a car with stolen non permanent tags from a teen driver who had no license or proof of insurance coverage.
The Aurora Police Division stated officers noticed a car with “suspicious plates” and pulled the driving force over on Feb. 27 round 11:30 a.m. Police decided that the non permanent tags on the car had been registered to a different car and had been stolen.
The division stated the driving force, a 17-year-old, was driving with no license and didn’t have proof of insurance coverage.
The town has a three-strike rule that requires cops to impound a car if the driving force can’t produce a sound driver’s license, proof of insurance coverage and registration. The teenager was detained and the car was impounded.
