Shares, bonds and treasured metals retreated Monday, reversing course after markets final week prolonged a monthlong stretch of positive factors.
Increased bond yields weighed on shares of huge know-how corporations, pressuring the broader inventory market. The tech-focused Nasdaq Composite misplaced 0.8%, and the benchmark S&P 500 dropped 0.5%. The Dow industrials slipped 0.1%, or 41 factors, snapping a four-day win streak.
