DENVER — RTD Appearing Co-Chief of Police Dr. Glynell Horn, Jr. has resigned from his place, the company confirmed to Denver7 on Wednesday.
In response to the Regional Transportation District (RTD), Horn submitted his resignation on Feb. 21, and his final day will probably be March 6. The district didn’t remark additional in regards to the circumstances surrounding his resignation.
Horn was appointed performing co-chief of police alongside Steven Martingano in October 2024. He beforehand served as RTD’s deputy chief of patrol and safety after spending greater than 15 years in legislation enforcement in his native Houston space.
A report by CPR Information stated Horn was promoted to chief over the objections of different RTD law enforcement officials. The police union president stated Horn and former RTD Chief of Police Joel Fitzgerald violated state legislation by not carrying their police physique cameras.
