Social Safety recipients who’re struggling amid sustained inflation may really feel let down by the Oct. 12 announcement from the Social Safety Administration. After receiving an 8.7% improve of their advantages for 2023, Social Safety recipients will see a considerably smaller cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for 2024 — 3.2%. In the meantime, the annual inflation price is now working at 3.7%.
