THORNTON, Colo. – Two males have been arrested late Wednesday in reference to alleged armed carjackings in Thornton, in keeping with a spokesperson with the police division.
Thornton police responded to the world of Welby Street close to the intersection with Thornton Parkway at round 11:48 p.m. Wednesday on a report of an armed carjacking.
On the scene, a person instructed officers one of many suspects pointed a gun at him, took his keys and stole his automobile. Whereas looking out the world for the person’s automobile, one other sufferer – this time, a lady – instructed officers a person tried to carjack her at gunpoint when she was shot. She was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening accidents and later launched, in keeping with police.
Officers have been capable of finding the automobile the suspects have been in and after a brief chase ensued, each suspects have been taken into custody.
The suspects have been recognized by police Thursday as 18-year-old Jaquise Redd and 19-year-old Keenan Clodfelter.
The investigation is ongoing.
